1. MESSAGE FROM THE CMAS PRESIDENT

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the city of Athens, Greece.
On behalf of CMAS, I would like to express our gratitude to the host city for sharing our passion for underwater sports and for their willingness and flexibility in hosting our biggest event.
I am confident that Greece will deliver outstanding competition for athletes and fans alike.
The excellent venue of OAKA Olympic Aquatic Center, as well as the local hospitality, are ready to welcome more than 200 athletes from over 40 countries and provide them with the perfect conditions to compete.
I would like to express my sincere thanks to our partners, staff, officials, and volunteers for all their hard work and dedication in making this event possible.
I hope you will join me in cheering on the incredible athletic performances. I also hope you will take some time to experience the beautiful Greek culture and warm hospitality during your stay.
To the athletes, please accept our best wishes for your competitions. We will be cheering you on from the stands, while working to provide the excellent conditions your hard work and talent merit!

Greece welcomes the 2025 CMAS World Championship Freediving Indoor Seniors-Juniors.
The first global event organized by Diving Greece, the Organizing Committee for Diving events established by the Ministry of Sports, is now a reality.
As the Ministry of Sports, we are committed to investing in the development of underwater sports, with the vision of making Greece a prominent player in the global sports community.
Every year, our uniquely beautiful seas and modern sports facilities will host World Championships and International Competitions.
Top freediving athletes will push their endurance limits, diving on a single breath into the unparalleled waters of our homeland.
Beyond my institutional role as Minister of Sports, there is another reason why I strongly believe in the value and potential of freediving in Greece. My heritage!
The Cyclades and the unique island of Amorgos, my homeland, which is the birthplace of freediving.
I am certain that this event will be a great success and will remain unforgettable for all.
